Equivalencies

When measured academically, OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 6 are equivalent to Bachelor’s degrees, Bachelor’s degrees with honours, Professional Graduate Certificates in Education (PGCE), Graduate Diplomas, and Graduate Certificates in terms of practical knowledge, skills, capabilities, and competences.

Entry requirements

For entry onto the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Teaching and Learning qualification, learners must possess:

• Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 diploma or equivalent recognised qualification
• Mature learners (over 21) with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
• The learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course

Modules structure

The OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Teaching and Learning consists of 6 obligatory modules, totaling 120 credits, 1200 hours of Total Certification Time (TQT), and 480 hours of guided learning (GLH) for the qualification to be successfully completed.

Progression

Learners can advance into employment after successfully completing the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Teaching and Learning certificate.
Learners have the opportunity to advance to pertinent qualifications at a higher level since Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) has approved and regulated this qualification.
