The OTHM Online Diploma in Education and Training Management course can help assessors with their assessing skills. For entry onto the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification, learners must:
• Hold a relevant vocational and/or academic qualification of at least the level above that of their learners and ideally a minimum Level 3 qualification in his/her own area of specialism.
• Have access to 100 teaching practice hours during which learners have full responsibility for planning, delivering and assessing specific area/s of the institution’s provision.
• Learners must be 19 years old or older at the beginning of the course
A minimum of 360 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) are advised for the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training course, which comprises of 4 mandatory units and 8 optional units totaling 1200 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT). The optional units chosen will influence the maximum number of guided learning hours.
Learners must obtain a minimum of 120 credits to earn the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training; this includes 45 credits from Group B’s optional courses as well as 75 credits from Group A’s required units. Level 5 credits must make up at least 61 credits (therefore a minimum of 6 optional credits must be achieved at level 5)
